This is how the Grand Opening of Kool Madrid went!
This past March 5th, we celebrated our grand opening in Madrid with an inauguration party with fellow members of the Kool community and alongside a variety of different brands and professionals from the retail industry. In total, there were more than 200 people that attended the event, and all were able to witness in situ the various possibilities our space has to offer and the creative capacity of our members.
Promoted by Kendu, - a company specialized in finding retail solutions for more than 20 years - the objective of Kool is to generate a community formed of brands, entrepreneurs, and the newest talent that wants to create disruptive projects and commercial opportunities. It’s an innovative initiative that is also supported by the experience of other founding members: Sempere and Ilumisa; in addition to the Asociación Española de Retail.
During the night of the inauguration at Kool Madrid, we were able to show off and put to use our collaborative showroom. Fellow members of the community were able to co-create a very impressive shopping experience combining multiple experiences and immersive technology. We can assure you that no one was left unamazed! We had virtual fitting rooms, RFID experiences (Radio Frequency Identifier), as well as a simulator inspired by David Bowie's first conceptual album, Ziggy Stardust, that was also the artist's first alter ego.
In addition, Kendu, Sempere, Ilumisa, Verdissimo, and Twenty2Lab all collaborated in the creation of a sustainable shopwindow. It included eco-designed products that were 100% recyclable, sustainable mannequins fabricated by Resistek (the material comes from the recovery of plastic waste), plants and preserved flowers, which were all illuminated by low consumption LED lighting. The result? A spectacular shop window to promote retail products, services, and solutions, and all of it being eco-friendly.
But it wasn’t only the shop window that was sustainable. The inauguration event for Kool Madrid was entirely a zero-waste event. All of our members from the community are committed to a sustainable line of retail, that is valued more than just for its use of marketing and its aesthetic. It is a true commitment from the members of the community that is founded on solid values. That is why, with the help of For Planet Events, we made sure that the evening, along with being memorable, was also in compliance with social inclusion, environmental care, and responsible consumption.
At Kool, we are motivated to take actions that are better for the world and community we live in. And for that reason, we believe that the key to the future is in collaborating, not competing.
